Because of my deep experience, gained offline in classic direct response testing, I bring deep insights from the outset of the split test design through analysis and interpretation. For example, in one large project for a well known life insurance company, the client had decided to increase the on-page time for visitors to their marketing campaign. Through careful pre-analysis and design of the campaign split test, we eventually learned that visitors who spent longer on the campaign website had a negative correlation to subsequently buying life insurance. Without the forethought to test whether the intended outcome of the split test might have an unintended consequence, the split test could have improved the stated metric but had an overall detrimental effect.
I’ve also run complex, multichannel split tests and long-term, multivariate split tests over many months in conjunction with data analysts to arrive at a statistically valid conclusion.
